After experiencing explosive growth during the pandemic, Berry and Brie’s owner, Mako, wanted to solidify their position as London’s go-to grazing destination. The brief was two-fold - Mako was looking to expand the business into education, workshops, styling and a possible sister store, and she was also looking to stand out in the now-saturated grazing market.
It was clear that Berry and Brie needed an up-to-date, yet timeless, brand that would be able to grow and adapt as the business grows. Through our strategy portion, we discovered the various target market segments of the business, as well as the points of difference between Berry and Brie and its competitors. We decided to move forward with a bold, modern, abstract-inspired concept that reflected Mako’s personality as well as represented the story behind the business. Delicate linework portrays the attention to detail behind Mako’s work, and the riot of colour and illustrations show the hand-made exploration of produce and flavour. The illustrations can be built upon and adapted as the business changes, providing a clear link between all of the brand elements while allowing flexibility for this ever-growing business.
